Michelle has been my go to for over a decade … including for many years when I was living in NYC but would always make a point to find time to see her while back in town. Her space is great and it’s nice to get your hair cut in peace without anyone else there. Last Thursday I had my hair done by Michelle. I hadn’t coloured my hair in 8 years, I had “virgin hair”. My natural colour is dark blonde. I went in for a balayage. The two most important things that I expressed to Michelle were that my hair wasn’t yellow and that the shaping around my face didn’t go too far back. After applying the lighter Michelle only left it for about 10 mins. She also never applied any toner. In the end I was left with a very uneven application. The top layers of my hair were barley lightened, my hair was yellow and there were spots near my ears that were very concentrated and looked awful. The shaping around my face was very thick and blunt and was nothing what I wanted. The next day I attempted to reach out to Michelle to see about having things corrected. I left her a message and never heard back. I ended up going to another salon to have my hair fixed. In the end I was very disappointed by the service I received from Michelle.

I have never had better service in my LIFE. Michelle is professional, kind, patient, accommodating, and highly skilled. The salon itself is absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is so intimate yet inviting; everything is clean, sanitary, and the overall aesthetic is stunning! Her positive and calming energy turned my whole day around. She worked her magic and I have never felt more beautiful after a haircut! Not to mention, my hair smells AMAZING.
So happy I found her salon. My go-to for everything my hair needs.
